TEACHING PIANO

SINCE 1995

The Ozolins Piano Studio has been in the Detroit area since 2011. Our individualized piano lessons directly benefit a child’s education, confidence, and general development. We do not follow one method book and try to make music understandable and enjoyable for every student! Students are encouraged to be proactive in picking their own repertoire (with our guidance). We encourage students to play the music they like. We keep music as fun and enjoyable as possible and encourage creativity and uniqueness. We build self-esteem and confidence in a positive environment. We enable children to believe in themselves and achieve a lifelong love for music.

Dr. Rudolf Ozolins has taught our two children since they were 4 and 3 years old respectively. He is an exceptional teacher who instills confidence in his students through positive reinforcement, constructive feedback, a systematic, disciplined approach and most of all, the gift pf recurring recitals organized 1-2 months by Dr. Ozolins and his wife Alayna Young, also an accomplished musician.”

“Rudolf and Alayna have been tremendous piano instructors for our three children over the years. Rudolf was recommended to us by another family almost four years ago, and we have consistently had lessons since then. Both Rudolf and Alayna are extremely patient and have a teaching demeanor that both motivates and challenges my children to their very best.”

“We have been amazed at what our 5 year old has learned in such a short period of time with Dr. Ozolins. She is learning a new song nearly every week, and plays with proper technique. What’s more is that she loves going for her lessons each week and truly enjoys the time she spends with him. She also looks forward to playing in the recitals, which are full of proud family members. ”

“Rudolf is an awesome piano teacher, He has been teaching piano for the past 4 years to my children. They continue to enjoy the lessons primarily due to his patient, kind, cheerful and encouraging ways with children, Rudolf is very accomplished and is passionate about classical music. He matches music with student interests and schedules them for quarterly recitals.

Dr. Ozolins has been teaching my children piano for 8 years now! Rudolf is getting the best out of all my kids – even my middle son, who gets frustrated easily. Dr. Ozolins is patient with him, finds just the right piece of music to help him progress and sound more talented than he probably is at this point, and has lots of tricks up his sleeve pedagogically”
